Guardians

Why They're Essential

Curious about becoming a Guardian Home? At Sweet Magnolia Doodles, we are passionate about raising healthy and happy puppies. Our breeding program focuses on temperament and health to ensure our puppies make loving companions. Our commitment to ethical breeding practices sets us apart. This all starts with having happy, healthy parent dogs. We are firm believers that our parent dogs should be raised in the loving environment of a home, rather than being raised in a kennel with multiple other dogs. Have a question about our process? Feel free to reach out or apply below!

Guardianship

What's a Guardian Family & The Responsibilities

Get Started

How To Apply

Interested in becoming a guardian family for our breeding dogs? You will receive a 'Pick of the Litter' puppy for FREE, but you MUST live within 2.5 hours of 44050. Start by filling out an application, have a phone interview with Courtney, and place a $500 reservation to secure serious interest. We will go over all commitments, the requirements, which puppy would be available, and answer all of your important questions. It's a pretty simple, yet very straightforward process. We even have guardian references you can speak with directly to hear their firsthand experiences.

Support

Guidance Every Step Of The Way

Our guardian families play a crucial role in the well-being of our breeding dogs. We are not a "Kennel" and never plan to be. Our guardian family team provides love and care to our beloved mama & papa dogs, while we retain breeding rights. You will receive support every step of the way as you raise your new puppy, with our guidance just a phone call away. We do cover the expenses of all routine vaccines for our breeding dogs and occasionally offer 'small gifts' to our guardian families so they can spoil our guardian pups as much as possible. If they pass their health testing at around 12 months of age, becoming a parent dog at SMD, we will even cover the cost of spay/neuter at retirement.

Commitment

The Ins & Outs

Becoming a guardian family requires dedication and commitment. In return, you'll receive support, guidance, and the joy of helping us raise happy parent dogs in a loving home. You're required to do at least one or more training classes, earning a CGC title. You're required to transport guardian dogs to any appointments or to our home, only using our vets. You're required to feed the food we use at SMD. You're required to use our groomer or a groomer that can maintain the style we have on our dogs, teddy bear cut. You can not move more than 2.5 hours from 44050 for the duration of the guardianship program, 3-5 years.

Reward

Why Families Love It

As a guardian family, you'll be receive the best of both worlds. A free POL puppy, guidance every step of the way, occasional gifts to show our appreciation, once the guardian dog finishes their journey with us we cover the cost of the spay or neuter, & more. You will get to experience the joy of getting a well bred, healthy, well mannered companion, with our personal expertise guiding you all along the way. You'll also get a younger puppy so that you can experience the joys of puppyhood and beyond, rather than finding their family once they've retired, all of our dogs know family love right from the start.
